ABOUT US
A Place to Shine
The Learning Tree is an early learning center designed to introduce the educational building blocks to preschool aged children. Founded in 1989, the school is embarking on 36 years of continued success in educating the children of Laurens County and surrounding areas. The Learning Tree is currently owned and operated by Kellie Hamrick, a teacher of 12 years and mother of one. Our school’s growth and achievements are a direct reflection of the loyalty and support shown by our Learning Tree families year after year.
Our preschool classes are conducted in the morning, but we offer extended day for your convenience. See our enrollment documents below for further details.
OUR MISSION
Innovative & Responsible
At The Learning Tree, it is our mission to provide a safe, nurturing environment while providing academic and spiritual growth to our students at an individualized level. We believe that early childhood is a crucial time of foundational learning. We strive to provide a learning experience that will inspire a love for learning and readiness for school. Working in partnership with our families, we aim to instill values and principles within each of our students that will provide them with confidence, responsibility, creativity, and principles needed to thrive at the next level of their education.
OUR PROGRAMS
Over time, we’ve designed and adapted our program to meet the high standards of today’s world of education. All classes utilize the Abeka Christian curriculum, while also pulling in supplemental resources to best serve our students. By providing a supportive environment, we make sure each child receives exactly what they need. We provide a hands-on, engaging, and content rich curriculum to prepare our students for their education beyond K-4. We offer classes for K-2, K-3, and K-4.
